Due to the crappiness of Tripod's free hosting (you get what you pay for, and we paid a whole lot of nothing), and our current lack of other web hosting space, this is going to remain a news site for the time being. Check back in the next couple days for a real update with show news. For the time being, check out our Mp3's here!

Apologies are due for the lack of updates here, things have been oh so busy lately. We pulled the 8/25 gig off fairly well, even though Mills and Alex couldn't make it out because of their school schedules. Brian McKenzie and Mike Wood (also known as the McKenzie Brothers) assisted the creative process with toy drums, children's noise-trinkets, guitar noise, tape dialogues and alot of delay. Ben couldn't stay and watch The Forms with us, who were all the way from New York. They were really rockin' live, so I bought the CD, and spoke to the band some. Steve Albini produced them, so I had to ask them about that. Hell, they even did a dissonant open-tuning cover of "All Apologies". Brian took the stage at about 11:30 or so, lined his space with lots of votives and played a long song of nothing but controlled spacey feedback. I also asked and got permission from him to record his shows from now on...they're always different and so amazingly good that the bootlegs would make decent almost-albums in their own right. It was alot of fun for everyone, and the tape of our set is quite...interesting. Might end up posting some clips for the kiddies to download, we'll see.

Our next show will be at The Limelight on the evening of August 25th. We're not exactly sure of the other acts yet, but as soon as we know, we will post it here.

From Thursday to Sunday A Night On Mars will be recording in a real studio (in Columbia) for the first time. We have a lot of ideas and a lot more songs, and we're all very excited about it. A few interesting suprises are planned, but that's all we're going to let you know right now. Keep checking back, more news to come.
